Making zero waste shopping more zero waste

JarBar is an app that helps you simplify weighing and keeping track of jars that you use in bulk and zero waste stores.

A lot of such stores ask you to put a sticker on your jars, which annoys both me and my dishwasher.

JarBar is a transparent and convenient way of replacing the evil stickers.

How does it work?

Step 1: Review what you have in your pantry

Step 2: Get jars (if you're anything like me, you already have way too many already anyway)

Step 3: Choose a jar for each item you want to buy

Step 4: Go to your favourite local zero waste store

Step 5: Spend 30 minutes getting half-washed-off sticker off your jar (oh wait you don't have to do it now that you use JarBar)
